Hi, I’m Emma, the Harry Potter obsessed Digital Marketer.
I didn’t always want to be a marketer. For the longest time I wanted to be a singer/actress. It’s something thats always stuck with me. I just loved being in my bedroom singing to the radio, I did everything with music on. I mostly still do. I’m sure if you asked my parents they tell you how much quieter the house is now that I’ve moved out.
When I moved into my teenage years my career goals started to change. While the dream was still in my head, my high school made it difficult for me to pursue them more so I had to start being realistic. I can tell you now with every school year that went by my mind changed but they always included something creative.
As I moved through my university life my aspirations started to take on a more business orientated vision with my undergraduate being in Business Information Systems (I’m not really sure what that means either). However, despite thinking I that I would have the world at my feet after I graduated, I didn’t and after a long period of failing to get a job I noticed a trend. People were looking for those with an ability to promote their business, MARKETERS. So I changed industry, went back to university and in 2018 graduated with a Masters in Digital Marketing. It’s been a blast since.
My journey to this point has been full of wins, lessons learned and most importantly wonderful experiences. I’ve travelled across the UK, got to work with a company that is every Scots dream and over the past few years I have had the pleasure of working for a variety of small teams, businesses and charities, helping them achieve their goals. Those moments in time being the reason why I am where I am today. Telling you this story.
I found my purpose and blended my creative aspirations with that of business. Marketing. More important helping other small businesses and charities grow their social media presence their way through social media training, strategy planning and evaluation.
I didn’t always want to be a marketer yet it found me.
You may not want to be a marketer but I can help it find you. If you want to start your journey, get in touch.
